The village of Bolingbrook is a southwest suburb of Chicago, IL. It got its start in the first portion of the 1960s, when a builder laid out the first housing tract in the existing farm fields that were north of old U.S. 66. Dover Construction Company built model homes that drew in residents, causing more movement to the area. The three original home tracts were sold from 1961 to 1965 and were considered the original "Bolingbrook Subdivision" of Westbury. These homes and the families that occupied them officially formed the Village of Bolingbrook, incorporated in 1965.
